Hanging with the Abstract Expressionists (& General Idea) at the AGO

Experiential Wonder: The Art of Olafur Eliasson

A beautiful installation at Turbine Hall called the Weather Project – where Olafur created an artificial sun and the people basked! An amazing idea that would be useful as a permanent feature in any city that has a long, dark winter.

Tina in France

Have you ever seen Tina Turner's house in the south of France? She's built quite a nice little life there and every time I see this photo of her from Architectural Digest, I mentally Photoshop myself into her place.

This book looks like an inspiration in the right direction for any designers looking to market their own ideas outside of their agency jobs.

Great illustration book

One of my absolute favourite books on illustration –The Age of Feminine Drawing is essentially a showcase of some the best illustrators out there currently that focus on feminine themes. It is a never-ending source of inspiration for me. (Images from Amazon and SweetNee)

Loveable Leader: Nobu

I just watched a really great documentary about Nobu Matsuhisa and was really inspired and moved by his story and outlook. A tireless family man, who failed many times before succeeding really reminded me that it's a never stop trying attitude that prevails in the end. I was also surprised by his lovely manner and disciplined work ethic – which were never at odds. One can be a happy, motivating leader to their staff without sacrificing quality or their standards.
