Ok – so I got three different things: fries, The Priest with an "Option" of a cheese filled, deep fried portobello mushroom added on top of the beef patty AND...the "Vatican City" – which isn't even on the menu, you have to just ask for it by name. It's essentially two grilled cheese sandwiches with two beef patties in the middle.
The "Priest" with the cheese filled portobello mushroom on top was really good. The meatiness of the mushroom paired with the beef patty makes for a very substanial burger. Vegetarians will love the meatless version.
The "Vatican City", (2 grilled cheese sandwiches with two beef patties inbetween) which almost seems like a dare – like a DoubleDown, is something at first I felt I had to try just to say I had...when in Rome as they say. But, the surprising part is that I would totally get it again – minus one beef patty – as the shear thickness demanded I eat it like a squirrel nibbling at an acorn. And nibble I did – all around and through the gooey and crispy grilled cheese right into the super yummy freshly ground beef burger patties – which were really well seasoned.
So my verdict? Amazing. I'm sad they don't have a more central location. Which is probably a good thing, or I'd be there way too often.
