So, I've clearly been living under a rock because I had no idea that MoRoCo existed until last week and it's been open for roughly a year now! Perhaps it's tucked away location behind some buildings on Yorkville Avenue has something to do with it not being more well known because once you try one of their French macaroons, you'll sing their praises to all that will listen. I tried a variety of flavours from salted caramel and pistachio to peppermint and BBJ and they were light, crisp, chewy and creamy – all characteristics of a great macaroon. They also make almond toffee bark, hazelnut dipped shortbread, roasted almond and sea salt bars, milk chocolate dipped Florentine, dipped orange peel and marshmallow bears, amongst other delectable items like chocolate fondue to-go! Their restaurant serves lunch as well, which I plan to try during my next visit.
