What can I say – I actually really enjoyed this film. It's no great work of art but it made me laugh out loud repeatedly and captured certain parts of her memoir (Julia's that is) quite well. The whole modern day blogger part with Amy Adams was ok – but frankly, could just as well have been left on the cutting room floor if it were up to me. As for Meryl Streep, I hate to gush because it seems so predictable but she was really wonderful in this role – she mastered Julia's mannerisms remarkably well only straying ever-so-slightly in to impression territory a couple of times. Her relationship with her husband Paul, played by Stanley Tucci, was endearing to watch – it's so refreshing to see non-model perfect, mature people so passionately in love. The last photo here is where her character delivers one the of the most unexpected, funny and hot-to-trot lines in the film. Julia was one cool, amorous lady!
