While in Austin, eat at Stubbs

 


While attending SXSW this month, I learned that "Gospel Brunch" at Stubbs is a must-do while in Austin. The combination of delectable barbecue featuring southern-style grits, fried catfish, their famous brisket and amazing music is a win all around. When you go, make sure to make a reservation, as they do 2 seatings – first one at 11am and second one at 1pm.

The Runaways

Just saw the Runaways and what can I say, it's light on story and the dialogue is a bit weak but it was sure pretty to look at. Flora Sigismondi's touch was evident and it was surprising to hear Kirsten Stewart and Dakota Fanning do their own (pretty decent) singing. A fun movie if you're a music bio-pic buff like me.
